None of the watches we carry are completely water proof. They are however water resistant to different degrees as per below. Check the dial or the back of the watch.
- ALWAYS follow these instructions! A watch that is damaged due to water use is NOT eligible for a return or a refund!
- No watch likes steam (the seals will be damaged), so never take your watch into a sauna or steam room.
- If your watch has a leather band, then keep it away from water completely, even though it says something else on the dial or on the back of the watch.
If your watch only says “Water Resistant”, then avoid getting it wet at all costs. Keep it away from water of any kind (including steam). Remove the watch before washing hands, doing the dishes or preparing food.
Water Resistant 30 Meters / 3ATM / 3Bar
If your watch says 30 Meters (3ATM, 3Bar), it does NOT mean that you can take it to 30 meters below sea level, it actually only means that it is splash proof. You can keep it on when washing hands or preparing food but always take it off when swimming, bathing or showering or during other activities in or close to water (eg doing the dishes).
Water Resistant 50 Meters / 5ATM / 5Bar
If your watch says 50 Meters (5ATM, 5Bar), it does NOT mean that you can take it to 50 meters below sea level, it only means that you can go for a short swim or take a shower with the watch on. However, try to minimize water exposure and still take it off. Do not wear the watch if snorkeling, diving or during longer periods in the water. Never push any buttons when the watch is in the water.
Water Resistant 100 Meters / 10ATM / 10Bar
If your watch says 100 Meters (10ATM, 10Bar), it does not mean that you can take it to 100 meters below sea level. You can wear it when snorkeling or staying in the water for a while. However, take it off when diving. Never push any buttons when the watch is in the water.
ALWAYS follow the instructions above!
